October 6 10 AM - North Central Trail Bike Ride
We will meet in White Hall, just beyond Gunpowder Falls State Park, in the parking lot beside the trail at 10:00 AM on Fun-day Sunday, 6 October. The NCRTrail is a packed earth and finely crushed stone pathway which runs north through rural MD, in the area of Big Gunpowder Falls and Little Gunpowder Falls Rivers, over the PA State Line. The trail has only a very slight upgrade going north and few intersecting roads. From White Hall, we will cycle 10.5 miles up to New Freedom PA, just past the point where the trail peaks. After a short break and return ride, we will drive back out Wiseburg Rd. to “Casa Mia” on York Rd. in Parkton for a Greek, Italian or American lunch; (north of Mt. Carmel Rd. (Rt. 137) leading to I-83 south).
Since this trail is not paved, if the probability of rain is over 40%, we will postpone the ride to Sunday, 20 October. A “go” or “no-go” email will be sent out on 4 October, 48 hours prior to the ride.
TO WHITE HALL MEET-UP: From Baltimore Beltway (I-695W) take I-83 north to Exit 31. Turn right (east) after exit onto Middletown Rd. After about ½ mile, turn right (south) at “T” intersection onto York Rd. (Rt. 45). Drive about ¼ mile and take a left (east) onto Wiseburg Rd. Stay on Wiseburg for 2 4 miles. (Do not veer off to the right onto Bernoundy Rd. or later, fork sharply left onto Graystone Rd.) The trail parking lot is at the intersection of Wiseburg and White Hall Roads.

November 10 - 10 AM Georgetown Bike Ride Capital Crescent Trail
The trail will be on a paved bicycle path the entire distance, is roughly 16 miles round trip and, as it is an old railroad track, is gently up and down except for the River Road overpass. We’ve always had pleasant late fall weather so clothing layering is a good suggestion. We’ll dine at Nick’s Riverside Grill, at dockside on the Potomac, usually outside except for last year when we all went inside and drank hot chocolate! The trail is mainly shady with glimpses of the Potomac River along the way. The SSS Ski Club recommends that you wear a bicycle helmet.
November 21 5PM - Carpaccio's in Annapolis
